How to get there

The small and picturesque island of Alonissos in the Sporades complex, with around 2000 habitants, has no airport which has been an important factor to make it keep it's purity and charm. The only way to reach the island is by sea.

There are all year round connection by ferry, catamaran and hydrofoil from Volos, Skiathos and Skopelos and from may to september, from Salonika, Agios Konstantinos Kymi, Mandoudi and Skyros ). The closest  airport is Skiathos which is 1 hour 20 minutes away by hidrofoil and 2 hours 40 minutes by ferry. Another airport is located in Angialos, close to Volos5 hours away by ferry and 2 hours 40 minutes by hydrofoil.

Arriving from Athens:

Take Bus X93 to Liosion bus station.From there take the bus to Agios konstantinos, to Mandoudi or Kymi from where you can take the hydrofoil, the catamaran or the ferry. There are travel offices such as Jetatours andAlkyon in the center of Athens at the turistic area of Plaka, where you could book tickets for both bus and ferry or catamaran.To arrive to the center of Athens( Syntagma), you can take bus X95 or the metro.
